F1 back at Nurburgring...

The grand prix at the Nurburgring, which last hosted a race in 2013, is expected to be held on 11 October, when it will be vulnerable to bad weather.

This should be an awesome race and really challenge ALL of the teams and drivers to produce a car that can cope with all that the 'ring can throw at it!  I for one can't wait!

Sadly not the original green hell which does not exist anymore , not even the modern day sanitised version of the old track but the "new nurburgring " a shadow of its former self :t-up:

Erm No it doesn't.  Not in its original form , most of the circuit was altered for safety sake , most or all of the airborne sections and some blind corners and bumpy bits were  leveled off . The main straight was like a roller coaster ride , cars  used to get airborne on the flat out straight until they sent the bulldozers in .

The bend you show in the picture was notorious because the camber used to drop away half way round , not anymore , its been made nice and smooth and safe with an added pretty run off area .

So There !  :p
