MCT75 to Zetec Bellhousing

I have a MCT75 gearbox and a 1.8L Zetec from Westfield but I am missing a bell housing to join the two parts. Anyone got something that will work?

I thought the MT75 boxes had integral bell housings? RWD make a lot of alloy bell housing for various engine/gearbox combinations and might be able to help, they supplied mine for Type 9 to Zetec, needed a little modification to fit in the tunnel though.

MT75 'boxes are integral, but not MCT75, which is what the factory used to fit to some of the factory built cars. The innards are the same, but the case is an alloy one made for a separate bell housing by Mitchell Cotts who are or were the official reconditioners for Ford 'boxes supplied as reconditioned exchange 'boxes by Ford franchised dealers.

Exactly what Stephen said MTC75’s take separate bell housings, not something I’ve ever looked at, but I’m sure I recall being told they used the Type 9 bolt pattern, so could use any T9 bellhousing

Yes you are right that the MTC75 uses the Type 9 bolt pattern. But you need to make sure the bellhousing is the right depth for the input shaft length.

Plenty of type 9  bellhousings available though.

PS I'm still looking for an MTC75 myself.....see wanted ads.
