There’s more Catholic Churches in Las Vegas than casinos.

 

No surprisingly, some worshippers will contribute casino chips rather than cash when the collection plate is passed around.

 

Since they get chips from many different casinos, the churches have devised a system to collect the offerings.

 

They send all the collected chips to a nearby monastery for sorting, which are then taken to the respective casinos to be cashed in.

 

This is done by the monastery’s friars and chip-monks.
