DonPeffers Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11593283/teachers-demand-pupils-sprayed-disinfectant-coronavirus/ Gen Sec. of an education Union apparently said "In China, children stand outside the school gates and are sprayed front and back with disinfectant, their shoes are sprayed, they wash their hands with sanitiser, they must take off their mask and replace it with a new one, and their temperature is taken remotely." Asked if a similar regime should be introduced here, she said: "Yes. They're doing that in China and South Korea and they have a minuscule number of new cases." One wag suggested full immersion in sheep dip as an alternative. 1 Quote
Jim RS Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 Every time the wife goes out to the shops, about once a week, I disinfectant spray the goods she has bought plus when all the stuff is away I spray her down too😜 No use taking risks he he. When on sites during the foot and mouth outbreak we had to be sprayed down and walk through a sheep dip(not that deep though), will not stop the asymptomatic carriers but will make the school smell fresh😁 Quote
Steve (sdh2903) Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Probably more prudent to spray the adults than the kids. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-no-child-known-to-have-passed-covid-19-to-adults-global-study-finds-11981111 Quote

DonPeffers Posted May 17, 2020 Author Posted May 17, 2020 Do we really know enough about covid yet? It may be that kids don't spread it but usually kids are super spreaders of things like flu (different virus admittedly). It was initially claimed covid couldn't be transmitted to animals then later discovered it had been transmitted to cat, tiger and mink. If there is enough PPE I reckon teachers might want it. IMO important to get kids back to school soon for their benefit and to get the economy moving. Quote
