Simon Waterfall Syman84 Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Although it all seems like a done deal, i still have a little incling that as with the danny ric renualt shock a couple of years ago. we could see Seb at Mclaren, Danny Ric to Merc, Hamilton to Ferrari and Sainz back in the Renault. its amazing how one shock seat opening sends the whole paddock into musical chairs. Shows how fast things change in F1. With your post only 6minutes old and now out of date! Ricciardo signed for McLaren 5 minutes ago. 😀 Personally I hope Seb is out. Should have been banned after the red mist came down and he banged wheels with Hamilton. 1 1 Quote
Simon Waterfall Syman84 Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/52661201 Sainz now confirmed at Ferrari so my thoughts are about as good as .......... how about curve ball the Hulk back at renualt for a year while F2 drivers get up to speed and move up the renualt ranks Quote
Blatman Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 I'd rather see Hulkenberg at a more competitive team. He'd be cheaper than Vettel though. I suspect salary demands would mean the lower order teams can't countenance him as a driver even if he wanted to stay in F1. Who could afford him outside of Ferrari? The only team I can think of is Haas. Get shot of Grosjean and insert Vettel... Quote
corsechris Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Chap I used to know that works at RBR always maintained that off the track , Mr V was a genuinely nice bloke. Be that as it may, on track he was a calculating cheating cynical dick, not unlike Schumacher. Talented of course, but still a dick. It’s a shame that’s what the sport seems to demand. 1 Quote
Andy Malone - Editor Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Just had an email from McLaren with Zak Brown confirming Riccardo as their new driver for 2021 so those deals are now all completed. The question remains on the Renault seat, Alonso was mentioned again in a Ted Kravitz interview. Quote
