John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Like it too. Just shows what can be done. It really is a Bitsa, sourced all over the place. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 It's certainly a nice looker, would love to find out more. Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 I thought it looked familiar. A couple of photos of mine from the Detling Kit car show back in 2009. 4 Quote
jeff oakley Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 The guy who made that was immensely skilled. This was his second car, the first was similar but a three wheeler. It is built using a lot of Renault 5 parts and is front wheel drive so it didn't need a transmission tunnel which would have made the seating harder to get right. Quote

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Yep, unless the engine was moved to the back, lost me at the FWD part. Very pretty though. I love the way Ant Anstead did his, using an offset diff etc, to avoid straddling the prop and gearbox. Quote
