I thought it looked familiar.  A couple of photos of mine from the Detling Kit car show back in 2009.

The guy who made that was immensely skilled. This was his second car,  the first was similar but a three wheeler.

 

It is built using a lot of Renault 5 parts and is front wheel drive so it didn't need a transmission tunnel which would have made the seating harder to get right.

Yep, unless the engine was moved to the back, lost me at the FWD part.

 

Very pretty though.

 

I love the way Ant Anstead did his, using an offset diff etc, to avoid straddling the prop and gearbox.

Agree Dave, anyone who hasn't seen this it's worth a watch, "Ant Anstead Master Mechanic". Availible on MotorTrend.
