As per title. Can’t even see carpets on the Westfield site anymore.
my carpet set is blue but I wouldn’t mind either new or change the floor carpet mats to black. I already have the footwell ones just need the ones for under the seats

Er, did you search on the Westfield site under “carpet”?

https://parts.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/index.php?route=product/search&search=Carpet&description=true

Admittedly, only full carpet sets are listed, I’m not sure if buying individual bits is possible, you’d need to speak to parts about that.

Though any local trimmer would easily be able to make them for you, especially if you have something to use as a pattern.

I am just about to make a full set, Rear bulk head, tunnel, front and rear floor mats.  Have ordered the carpet frame Cloverdale and will cut to shape and have bound and seemed for the tunnel by a local company.

Also ordered new PVC Vinyl trim to replace the buff colour side panels with black.

Westfield quote £220 ash, I will do for less than £120.

I read somewhere on here that the gear gator & handbrake gator Aren’t ready sewn in place or is this a myth and they’re ready to fit immediately ?

years ago, they were supplied loose, and the carpet was not cut, but there were many different engine/gearbox, gear-lever and remote gear lover mounting options. So you cut the holes in the right place for your build, then returned the carpet to have the gaiters seen in. Though of course you could get it done yourself.

These days, with a more standardised range, the carpets seem to come with them already sewn in. Must admit, o preferred the old way, as it made it so much easier to build things the way you wanted, rather than being forced to follow a standard template. But they tell me it’s progress.

yes that does make sense for a kit car especially as not all are used for touring etc etc

I have found that getting access to the tunnel has been a pain when you have to take the seats out so you can then take off the cut and bound tunnel carpet. When changing mine, I covered the tunnel in three bits of carpet. The side carpet panels have webbing sewed over the top edge which is then Velcro fixed to the top of the tunnel. The top carpet is bound around the edges and then Velcro fixed. This results in access to the top of the tunnel by simply taking off the top piece.
This might seem like a little thing but if you have a job like changing the handbrake cable or checking the heated seat switches, you don’t have to take the seats out!
