The rush for MOTs at the end of September will be manic.

Also can you drive The Wench under latest rules/law?

Yep.  The current MOT runs out April 24th so no issues. :)

Of course, no vehicle type restrictions are in place, so as long as the journey is appropriate.

Ive used mine for shopping runs and to pick a chemist prescription up today.

Just be sensible though, defensive driving to the max, as some people are really driving round in a daze at the moment,  and just watch how you could be perceived when in built up areas etc around others.

After 24 April even if no new MOT required because of 6 month hold, looks like leisure driving banned unfortunately under the new legislation going thru Commons now.

Also, as has been mentioned in the unlikely event of an accident the hospitals are already overstretched which is why things are going on hold.

And just when petrol is cheap.

As I’m under medical house arrest and condemned to do the gardening for Lady Colonial until 15th June, it’s not a problem for me at the moment.  I’ll have to be content with receiving daily afternoon texts of doom and gloom from the NHS for my entertainment.  Today’s was telling me to get a bag ready just in case you need to be whipped into hospital “for an overnight stay”... yeah, right.  Overnight... :(  Nothing will cheer me up more than a hospital bag in the corner by the door.

What happens if your car is sorned as mine is . Can you still drive on the roads ?

Its now my tenth week home alone . Had a heart op. in mid january . Got me a long distance hair cut as

part of my self survival routine .

The Archers ( bless em  ) and plenty of tea  helps to keep me going . ( no pun intended )

Like Scott's Good Lady, mine is in the 'extremely vulnerable' group due to ongoing medication. I am also officially 'vulnerable' (not 'extremely' though) because of my great age so for the first time I am ordered by HMG to be idle! It's great!
