Small Alternators Drivers Side Installation

Need to move my alternator away from the hot side of the engine

Initially looking out for either Wosp LMA 209 Thick Lug or Wosp LMA 200

 

Or of course anything else out there that would do the job and is reliable!

I have a ND alternator for sale in the parts section...

I have a Lucas A127 alternator that I have just taken off my engine but has only done less than 1k miles. Fully working and I think it produces approx, 45amps, has a plastic end cover which I had to cut a piece out of to clear the steering column, shows a little of heat on plastic but otherwise ok. It was new/old stock when I bought it some years ago so not looking for much money £20 plus postage.

Replaced it as on hot side of engine as yours and solved it by buying a new A127 unit with ability to mount it further forward with heat shielding.

Yes they are packaged differently from the equivalent ND being wider but considerably shorter - ideal for my application where length is an issue not for others.
