CraigHew Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Just a heads up, most people who use WhatsApp are aware of the video calling capability. As a family today we've had a great family video chat with 4 people simultaneously. Bit of a laugh establishing the group ground rules but i must say for a free service it was fantastic. Maybe of use going forward over the next few months..... 3 Quote
Andrew O Byrne White - Ireland AO Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Facebook allows more than 4 on the video chat too - powered by Skype I think. Been great for keeping in contact with friends all over the world. Quote
Blatman Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Zoom are allowing up to 100 participants for free with a time limit of 45 minutes. Pay 11.99 a month and you get up to 100 people for free for 24 hours with no contract. Might be worth it for a couple of months. And only 1 person has to pay. They invite the other 99 people who pay nothing. Ever. I've just help set up a couple of schools with the 11.99 option to try to help keep the kids entertained. The paid for option has more/better features and they seem to be doing something with the quailty as there is little to no buffering/stuttering etc. Quote
Chester Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 We have been using the Zoom paid for option at work for a few years now - really good quality. Can't fault the service. Quote
Alan France Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Google Duo is free and allows 7. Works ok. Quote
