corsechris
I’d have to become way more gregarious than I’m comfortable with to comply with self isolation! 2

AndrewBClarke
Today has been work this morning in my workshop by myself. Big commute - 10 ft. Lunch watching telly. Then out for 125miles and half a tank of petrol. Mmmm. Had to be a long drive to avoid gardening. Productivity goes down in the good weather. 😀. Keep blatting! 3

AndrewBClarke
Confused. The ban on non essential travel presumably includes popping out in a open top sportscar. WHO guidelines for social distancing under ‘safe to do’ is take a fun drive. Surely this includes Westfielding and is in direct conflict with the UK government statement. Don’t want to do the wrong thing either for my safety or others. Also don’t want to be a social outcast for flouting the rules. Thoughts? Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO
Given you live in a part of the UK where people still regularly point, when the see a horse less carriage, I'd carry on regardless. Using the above guidance, you are under the amber - do with caution. Travelling in private transport. Hence drive, smile, have fun and take care when fueling, eating etc.😃
Exitus
When they say travelling, they mean long distance, from one place to another. They don't want people travelling the length of the UK and potentially spreading the virus around. They also don't want people packed together on public transport or in motorway services. Driving in a fairly small circle around your town is ok, as you're not going to transmit the virus around the country. Going out for a drive in the Westfield should be completely fine.

Really can’t see any reason why that’s not the case. I’d say going for a blat is definitely a green light. Just be antisocial when you stop!
Alan France
Came to Lincs Sun/Mon to see mother. At 106 she is now in lockdown, so felt it was a reasonable journey to make. Just kept away from others as best we could. Limit your Westfield passengers and you should be fine.
