20 mar 2020  https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/51977724   Coronavirus and F1: Delayed start or no season at all? What happens next in Formula 1?

"When the great Juan Manuel Fangio won the last of his five titles in 1957, there were only eight races - and no-one questions his right to be called a champion."

Provided the season starts at the latest on 06 Sep 2020 with the Italian GP (which currently may seem unlikely with the terrible situation in Italy) then there can be 8 races to complete a season.

We'll need to see how events unfold.

Personally I'd like to think it'd be race by race, no points if it goes ahead at all. To be honest I would like to see help for those smaller teams during this crisis as they rely on points money and advertising revenue.
