It took me a couple of goes with an angle grinder to get everything to clear the chassis/foot box Jon's XI build.  The build manual is best supplemented by reading others blogs although there don't appear to have that many built with a Midget gearbox recently.

Thanks Jon, I have read some of the blogs but as a new member not had that much time.....until now 😊

 

Moving the engine forward is the simplest solution and resolves all of the gearbox clearance issues in one go. On my own car I intend using and have bought Lotus 7 engine mounts and will revise how the gearbox in mounted too.
