Lyonspride Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 On my daily barge (Mondeo) the brakes had MOT advisories for nearly 4 years (60-70k miles), I changed the lot once the warning light came on and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. This 2000 miles nonsense is just that, nonsense. Brakes are a big cash cow for dealerships, i'd bet most of the time they're changing nearly new brakes just to meet their sales targets. It's an easy one, because people panic when they hear the word "brakes". Quote
Kevin (Mr T) Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 My friend went back to the MOT centre this morning, armed with the info provided and challenged them. He came away with an MOT cert with advisories. Thanks for the help. 1 Quote
