Jan Coombes Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 My car has been running lovely. But driving around one day the batt warning light came on and started dropping, I stopped and look and the belt had slid off. So I put it back on but anything over 4000 RPM and it flips off. It is grooved flat one, not the V one. I was thinking it might be the alt mounting rubbers. Is this a common issue? Any help would the great. Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Check for alignment between the pulleys. Like you say the alternator is rubber mounted and if the mounts are worn then the alternator could be on the p**s Quote
Blatman Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Your alternators might be rubber mounted, but neither of mine are...... Quote
