BigSkyBrad
Looking through photos last night prompted this show-and-tell. I trail-rode bikes and sport-quads alot back in NZ and had always wanted to transfer that life experience to snowmobiling. For my 50th, I spent a week in Revelstoke, BC, Canada high-country snowmobiling. Absolutely loved it, and picked it up quick, but discovered that just too late in life - at the end of each day I was absolutely b*****red. I have never sweated so much as then - both riding, and digging out of 6ft deep powder (did that a lot!). My god, sports 'sleds' have got some grunt! - the two I used, stock-standard, were Skidoo Summit 800-SP's - 800cc two-stroke, well over 130hp. Our (I was paired up with a group of four others from Switzerland for the week) two guides were phenomenal riders - one a girl, and the other a Welshman who winters in Canada. This is how the good guys do it...
Blatman
Hanging on to the fence at St Maarten Airport. No pics 'cos I needed both hands. And I was being paid because I was in St Maarten for work. The Grand Canyon. Vegas in a Penthouse New York on Concorde, WTC before and after, Empire State Building, Central Park and a free night time concert by Il Divo. Swam with dolphins Owned a Mk1 facelift 3 litre Capri when I was 18. I soooo wish I'd kept it!!! Owned a GSXR 1100 when it was THE bike to have back in the late 80's, and "did a lap" of the M25 one dark, clear night. Did Cadwell full circuit on the same bike. Cadwell in the Westfield. Own a Rolex that I wear every day. Did several laps of Monaco in a hire car, and we all know that hire cars are the fastest cars in the world... Le Mans with pit access during the race on several occasions. Track days in cars and on bikes. Just Nurburgring to go... Still plenty on the list apart from these too. Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
I suppose getting married and producing two fine young men must be at the top of the list.
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO
Then there was building a couple of my own cars and passing SVA first time on both of them. And driving them all over the UK and Europe, including driving on some famous racing circuits. Aintree Donington Park Silverstone The Nurburgring.
