Canvas half door fitting

Recommended Posts

My soft Bits half doors have arrived but thought of drilling the body to fit them has got me a bit nervous. I’m sure it can’t be that hard too do but I’ve been known to dangler  up the easiest of things. Has anyone who’s fitted them got any advice or tips (come to think of it an idiots guide ) as they have no instructions ,

Thanks

No one fitted any ?
I was expecting them to have come with the press studs fitted ,but you get a fitting kit with the press studs in pieces .Had the studs been pre fitted I could have offered and levelled the doors up and had a rough idea of where to drill .

How do the studs fix to the doors ,do you need a special tool .how many per door and how far from the outside edge ?

If you look on youtube there are videos of how you install the studs.

Is it one of these.

Thanks Geoffrey , That was an interesting video ,I’ll check tomorrow but it looks like I’ll need something like that .

If I remember rightly you have some canvas half doors ,did you fit your own studs or were they already on .Is one on each corner enough ?

I used these for my doors.

My doors are basically the same as the full doors but the bottom half only.

I have two at the front and two on the bottom edge.

The two at the front allow me to just unclip the other bottom two and the door opens like a proper door.
