Ricky_B Joint Kent AO Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Anyone have a gear shift extension that is surplus to requirments. For type 9 box
Greenstreak-Andy D Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 I maybe wrong, but a 2l Zetec (assumed from your car details) mated to a type 9 should only need a cranked gear lever. I found the gear lever extension on my Duratec would have put the gear lever too far rearwards, so much so that the extension would hit the chassis within the tunnel. Andy

Andy The extension puts it in the perfect place on mine.

Andy Yep agreed, a 2l zetec was too far back with the extension. I recall it fouled a chassis cross member. Measure it first before you buy one. I shortened and bent a type 9 gearstick. It Works great
