Garage 39 Breakfast Meeting this morning

Had my first visit to Garage 39 at Donington for the Breakfast Meeting this morning. 

 

Despite the cold there was at least 300 cars in attendance, which I thought was pretty impressive. We were the only Westfield, but a couple of GBS Zeros, a Sylva Phoenix R1 and a stunning Cobra had made it (mixed in with loads of Impreza's, Evo's, MX5's, Skylines, Focus ST's and RS's, a beautiful Mk1 Escort with a zetec on ITB's, a Riley Elf, a Morris Minor, Escort and Sapphire Cosworth, Lotus Esprit, Exige, etc). 

 

A friendly bunch of petrolheads and the cafe is great for a bacon roll and a brew!

 

These meets are definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

@RobH72 Looks like it was a good gathering and that's a lot of cars for December. Good to see you met Michael with the Ferrari who runs the Burton Car Club, he's a really nice bloke and it's worth you joining his club (free) as he is very active all year round.

@Julie Hall - Peak District AOYes I met Michael, he's a nice guy. He said he enjoyed meeting you all at GBS. I've joined his facebook forum and it seems like they're always out and about...

 

Some lovely cars there, but I had a proper drool over the Tango man coloured mk1 Escort, what a stunning bit of kit... I'm putting it in my letter to Santa, I wonder if I've been good enough 🤣
