John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Dear members, As many of you will be aware, the club runs its own hillclimb and sprint championship called the 'Speed Series' which has an awards evening each year. This year's event is on Saturday 30th November and we plan to have an auction (in addition to a raffle on the evening) for some truly fantastic prizes generously donated by some of the clubs very generous sponsors, members and friends in aid of charity. This years chosen charity is 'Make A Wish' which is in aid of terminally ill children (See https://www.make-a-wish.org.uk/ ) The following fantastic lots are available for bidding on. All lots are NO RESERVE:- Lot 1 - A set of Force Racing 3 piece split rim wheels (Black DSY centres, polished outers and in sizes upto 8 inch fronts and upto 10 inch rears). Normal retail price is around £1000 inc VAT. See http://www.force-racing.co.uk/wheels/ Lot 2 - A Knockhill track day voucher worth around £150 Lot 3 - A pair of tickets for weekend at a 2020 British touring car BTCC event of your choice (but excluding Knockhill or the finale at Brands Hatch) courtesy or BTCC driver Rory Butcher including garage and pit lane access Lot 4 - A full geometry setup voucher from AB Performance worth approx £250 +VAT (based in Stowmarket, Suffolk - see http://www.abperformance.co.uk/) Lot 5 - Choice of either a free entry to the WSCC Blyton track day or a single day entry to the WSCC Blyton sprint in July 2020 The lots are available to be bid on by any member subject to the following guidelines:- Open to All WSCC Club members only All proceeds will go to CHARITY (https://www.make-a-wish.org.uk) Lots are valued and described by the donating organisations, not WSCC To enter a bid, send a PM to "Andy Banks - Chairman" with the item you are interested in bidding for in the subject line and your maximum bid rounded to £10.00 in the body. If you are attending on the evening you can bid in person. Andy will bid in increments of £10.00 up to your maximum bid on your behalf on the night Andy will NOT be bidding himself Where there are multiple PM bids for the same item, the highest bid received from all PMs for that item will be placed at the outset The cut off for submitting your bid is 29/11/2019 17:00. This will allow time to collate and seal the bids in order to best represent the bidders on the night Winning bidders will be notified by reply PM and will also be posted on this thread as soon after the event as possible There are some truly fantastic prizes up for grabs so get bidding. Good luck everyone. Best wishes John 2
