Bananaman Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 I'm after a tiltbed for my car which is running widetrack & wide rear arches & 8"x13" rears. I know a 6'1" wide bed would be more than good enough but these only seem to come in 14' bed length which is a bit of a beast to move around. I've been looking on the Brian James Site & they seem to have a new range of their Clubmans trailers with :- CLUBMAN HYDRAULIC 950 - £1,199.00 plus VAT Bed size: 3.6 x 1.65m (12ft x 5ft 5) - 950 Kg load capacity CLUBMAN HYDRAULIC 1200 - £1,299.00 plus VAT Bed size: 4.0 x 1.70m (13ft x 5ft 7) - 1200 Kg load capacity CLUBMAN HYDRAULIC 1500 - £1,399.00 plus VAT Bed size: 4.3 x 1.85m (14ft x 6ft 1) - 1500 Kg load capacity I was woundering if the 13' x 5'7" would be wide enough for my car. Alternatively i wounder if they woul make one with a 5'10" width. Any Idea how wide i would need, I'm afraid the cars garaged elsewhere at the moment, or i would go out with the tape measure. Al Yupright Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 I've got a Woodfood Widebody, which is 11foot long, but has a 5ft9 width bed. Ie 4 inches wider than most, yet it still fits thu a 7ft garage door. Tis a nice trailer, top quality running gear. Mark Boyce has exactly the same trailer and widetrack front, and silly wide slicks, so I suspect it'll fit, but he should confirm! Cheers, Al. Quote
Bananaman Posted January 5, 2004 Author Posted January 5, 2004 Thanks Al I'd spoke to BJ & they would only do 5'7" or then upto 6'1" no imbetween, was your's a special order? Andy Quote
adhawkins Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 I've got a Woodfood Widebody I don't think his trailer was made by Brian James. Woodford are here. Andy Quote
Al Yupright Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Oh, and I forgot to say mine is not a tilt-bed. Cheers, Al. Quote
Bananaman Posted January 5, 2004 Author Posted January 5, 2004 Looks like PRG have the best deals, will take a look at Autosport show. 13'x5'9" tilt bed would be perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect Quote
Mark Stanton Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Andy - my trailers a PRG and I found them decent to deal with and they are able to work with folks for something different. Good quality units Although mines not a tiltbed Quote
markboyce Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 as Al said. Woodford Jobbie thats fits in 6'11" garage door. I can get ultra wide rear arches and wide track front on the trailer no problem, but I have to change the rear wheels to get it on the trailier. Quote
Jan Coombes Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Banana's I would go for the PRG tilt, it should be fine for your car. I have just got a clubman and the car does look a bit small on it. But on the other hand they are quite well priced, hence clubman I guess. Best bet is to got to the show this week and have a haggle they are there to sell. I am going to see if I can do a cash deal on a tyre rack for mine, (save the pennys, buy more toys) Quote
