Jude - The Mad Widow Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 I famously (among those who know me) have a scatter gun approach to life, I put it down to being both dyslexic and bi polar... that seems a reasonable excuse.... Shock horror - I have booked house sitters for the duration of the Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh for next May. This would be considered planning wouldn't it??? I am on a roll now and fancy a cruise, being new to planning how do I do that? Book a cruise then try to get a house sitter OR book a house sitter then try and find a cruise... how does this planning thing work? Be nice 2 Quote
stephenh Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Hello Jude, well done. Not sure if you want sensible replies to your last question or not? If you are after serious suggestions then I'd certainly recommend booking the cruise first as good ones do tend to get booked up quite a long time before sailing, and unlike a hotel based package, if you chose a particular cruise you want to go on, you cannot pick and chose your week or fortnight. For example, we have been on a river cruise of the Douro quiet recently, for 8 days. The company we went with only do 3 of these cruises a year. Quote

It was a bit tongue in cheek so I'm expecting to be teased. You are right, booking the cruise first is the best option. I have done a lot of cruises but this would be my first solo venture. I'm not fond of flying so cruising is my first choice. I am so disorganised - I had tickets for Silverstone classic, Goodwood and a few other events, all missed due to my lack or organisation at finding someone to have my dogs. Its all a bit of an adventure! Quote
Nic Chase (NICO) - Shropshire & Mid-Wales AO Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Jude, I’m just wondering why you can’t board your dogs at a boarding kennel ? 1 Quote
Jude - The Mad Widow Posted October 23, 2019 Author Posted October 23, 2019 Because they are spoilt. One is a therapy (ptsd) dog. I think a kennel would be a big shock to their system. They sleep with me.. Just the way it is. Be like putting your children in care! Quote
