LoneWolf Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 (edited) Hello all, I've finally realised a dream I had since quite a few years, owning a 7 type car! Unfortunately to register it in Italy it must be 20 years old at least, so I didn't have many options on the table, and a Westfield was surely the most attractive 😁 I ended buying a red SEiW with Ford RS Turbo engine. It looks pretty good, not the best but the above limitation and limited budget didn't allow me to buy something nicer 😊 However that's not entirely bad, I love modifying and generally poking around with cars, my dad and brothers are mechanics and own a garage so not really an issue upgrading it 😁 The car is currently in a lorry on its way to Italy, I'll post a few pics when I have it with me 😁 ps: do I need to be a paid member to buy something from the "Parts for Sale" room? Thanks 😎 edit: some photos of the old owner: Edited October 2, 2019 by LoneWolf photos added 5 Quote
CarbonWest - Chris Broster - Bristol & Bath AO Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Welcome, welcome, welcome! Great to realise that dream - mine took 30 years and a divorce! Of course it isn't real until we see the photos! Regards Chris 1 1 Quote

Thanks 😎 Welcome You should be able to reply to posts in the for sale section, but you won't be able to send private messages to the seller etc. 1 Quote

Unfortunately it seems I can't even post replies to threads on the For Sale forum. Not sure if that's normal or it's a problem with my account Quote

I'm usually comically reluctant to part with money, but trust me, registering was the single best thing I ever did regarding owning a westfield. 1 Quote

Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 I dropped into Italy last year and it was beautiful. What a great place to live for having a Westfield. 1 Quote
Alan Cutler (Adge) - Dorset AO Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 from sunny Somerset, not so sunny or warm as southern Italy though. Enjoy your new toy. 1 Quote
LoneWolf Posted October 2, 2019 Author Posted October 2, 2019 Cheers everyone. I've actually lived a couple of years in the UK (Cheshire) and I learnt to love those places. Surely the weather is not comparable to south Italy but there are so many other good things Quote
