Gloves for the hardy winter drivers

Anybody tried these? Apparently waterproof, wind proof and warm to -30. Maybe that’s not quite warm enough for a Westy in the snow. :)  Thoughts welcome as I need better gloves for those winter Peak District trips.

I use a pair of (ladies, as I've got delicate hands ;)) motorbike gloves, but if it is near freezing, they are just not good enough to keep the fingertips warm.  Tried multiple layers, but it just makes using the fingers more difficult.  I'd be interested if these would be up to the job, although I can foresee an issue with them already; they go into your sleeve, which means you'll just be catching the wind inside your coat...

Good point about the wind up my sleeve. I have a screen and a famous WSCC coat with Velcro cuffs so I’ll give them a try and report back.

I have just bought some heated gloves from Cotswold Outdoor in Bakewell. I pick them up on Thursday so I can let you know how I get on with them. We are going to Bakewell for a curry so it might be Friday before I get chance to look at them properly. Eek, they were £120 with my discount card, but I am fed up with white fingers, especially my right hand that is hit by all the wind.

Yes, they are the ones. I will cycle to work in them too when it drops to around zero degrees or below, in fact I will probably never want to take them off. I am looking forward to getting them and trying them out and I will let you know my opinion of them. The only issue I can forsee is that they are MENS and the smallest size you can order them in is LARGE, although I did try a normal mens large glove on in the shop and it wasn't as big as expected, hence why I went ahead and ordered them in.

I've recently bought a pair of Keis heated inner gloves that will plug into my tried and tested heated jacket.

They are so thin they fit under my sealskinz gloves ...

I am clearly mixing with people that have money (or had money). We will see how my £25 specials complete with the £120 super gloves 🧤

It is appreciated that Julie needs better gloves than me as I don’t do mountain climbing, hiking, cycling.....
