Popular Post Chester Posted October 1, 2019 Popular Post Posted October 1, 2019 Decided my engine bay needed a bit of a tidy up. Had a local company dip the cam cover. https://www.hydragraphics.co.uk/ Really pleased with the result. May not be to everyone's taste but I like it. I'll add some more photos at the weekend after I've fitted it back on. 15 Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 I think that looks very smart. 1 Quote
chriss1455 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 I think it looks good. Makes a change from the standard black. Now got me thinking about looking into doing mine 1 Quote
SootySport Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Looks fantastic but do check on the underside for blasting medium trapped in any baffles or crevices, any doubt -- wash it out. We have a member that lost his engine due to grit circulating the engine after a sand blast of his cam cover 3 2 1 Quote

Greenstreak-Andy D Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Agree, looks great. Would be interested to see what temperatures the 'film' can work too. Do you use on just road, or track? Andy Quote

Chester Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 Just road use. The guy who did it has a highly tuned Focus RS with lots of under bonnet bits dipped included the engine cover. I did ask about temperature effect on it and he said it wouldn't be a problem - he has done lots of cam covers in the past with no issues. The most important thing was the cleaning and prep before dipping. Mark Quote
MarkS2 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I have had one done for years in another car as has my brother. My Westfield one has been on for about a year too and is fine. Quote
