Changing from standard seatbelt to harness

Hi all

As the title suggests, is it a simple modification?.

I've got a 2005 seiw.

Attached picture of current set up.

Thank you

It can't be too difficult. Basically you need to put 2 harness anchor bolts through the top chassis rail behind the top of the seats and use the anchor points ( assuming they're already there) on the lower side rails down at seat runner level.

You'd just need to tidy up the panel trim running along the rear of the seats.

For a 4 point mounting belt -

You need to remove the bootbox and that means the roll bar rear stays have to come out first. You’ll then  see a mounting either side by the roll bar mount. Simply screw two eyelet bolts in there and notch the leading edge of the boot box. Remove the seats and bolt the lap straps where the existing mounts are.

For a five or six point mounting belt it depends on which floor you have, the mountings need to on strengthened plates and it looks like you have the standard Sports seats, so you’ll need new seats for them.
