We are on our way to Bamburgh for a few days, 26th.Aug.  Can anyone recommend any hidden gems to visit during our stay up there in the frozen north 😀.  Seafood restaurants are high on the wife’s priority list.

Tynemouth is quite a hop south from Bamburgh......!

Make sure you visit the kipper smokehouse in Craster and buy a few.

Couple of decent pubs on Holy Island too, tides permitting....!

You could do it on the Sunday after the 2020 navigation Mystery Run, back home on the Monday bank holiday!

Hopefully as up that way based in Beadnell for a week.

What a lovely county, would be fantastic Westfield driving roads, your very lucky up there. Back home now and enjoyed our days out at some of the suggested places, didn’t go to them all though.  Particularly liked the Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh and the the castle that dominates the town, also visited Newton, Seahouses, parts of Hadrians Wall, the hills around Hexham. Alnwick and Holy Island.
