Ben Viollet Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Morning all I have a pair of factory seats taken from my SEIW. Swapped out for a pair of fibreglass ones due to long legs and a broad (not fat!) backside. Car has only traveled a few hundred miles so as you can imagine very very smart. On the drivers seat (very hard to see) it seems like the flap of fabric at the base of the backrest is not joined. No idea if this is meant, a manufacturing “difference” or what - just being fully transparent. Amazing what space they take up so they need a new home - lots of money for new ones - so please make me a sensible offer. Based in Warwickshire - close to Stratford upon Avon. Lawn mower not included...
Rory's Dad Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Don't think these are 'factory' seats but nice nonetheless.

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 That part number is for Westfields race seat, at the end of the day, Westfield have supplied quite a variety of designs though. Might be worth confirming a factory stamp or mark on the seats/seat frames just for clarification? 5811102 Racing vinyl seat Later versions with different style vinyl had a different part number. The mounting blades are also show attached in the above shot. These were a very narrow fitting seat, and often swapped out when cars changed hands and the new owners didn’t actually fit! PS, my apologies if this was a recent purchase by yourself from Westfield, and they have genuinely reused an old part number on a new product! Happy to delete posts, if that is the case. just speaking to avoid confusion from the advert.
Ben Viollet Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 Thanks - I have been all over the seats and no marks anywhere. The kit was purchased from the factory many moons ago (2002-3) but only finished around a year ago before IVA and eventual sale. Many many pages of invoices - so balance of doubt and logic says they are factory - but of course in 17 years a lot has changed. The few hundred miles covered is probably what is causing confusion. I can sure vouch for the narrow fitting. One either needed to be a jockey or a small child. It almost gave me a complex. So any jockeys or small children without a complex who want some 17 year old seats - please form an orderly queue 😀 Really pleased with my fibreglass replacement - 6 foot 5 and with a 36 inch leg - proves even us bigger chaps can get comfy in a wide body. 1
