G Graham Its a fair point and one of things that’s discussed when setting the calendar. Date clashes are always a dilemma, however Hethel and three sisters are geographically so far apart we figured folk from the south wouldn’t make the journey north and vice versus for those in the north, so hopefully the clash will have little impact either way. M Mark I have no problem with the 2 events on the same day as 3 Sisters is 4 hrs up the M6 and an overnight stay and evening meal (+£100) My only concern in such instances is that the SSOT promote both venues equally! We are the invited club at both and we need need there support when the SS are running our own event! G PS I have entered Hethel again this year but it is still a 5-30 am start even though it is nominally in the south although it feels like driving to Holland! 1 Quote
Terry Everall Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 Both Borough 19 and Longton and District need our support but my original post was because LDMC do no have many entries for 3 Sisters Quote
mark.anson Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Hmmm I wonder if there would be a way of setting up the boardroom to automatically post reminders of calendar events say a month before and then two weeks before so all events could get equal promotion. 1 Quote
Terry Everall Posted July 28, 2019 Author Posted July 28, 2019 Just got finals for 3 Sisters and there are 35 entries in total so if anyone is interested place visit the LDMC website and enter I just need some new tyres and plenty of fuel plus a dry track! Quote

Just got the Hethel Finals with just over 50 entries and only 3 Westfields which I feel goes someway to support my point that the SSOT should promote all events equally and even handedly. I will talk with John Sharp to try and get any additional timed runs fully documented as per last year so that all the times can count towards the Speed Series results. Let's look forward to good weather for both events! Quote
Terry Everall Posted July 28, 2019 Author Posted July 28, 2019 Yes all timed runs count for our Speed Series Are Del and Garry going as well? Quote

Yes I have spoken with John Sharp and he will do exactly the same as he did last year and officially document any additional timed runs so they count towards the speed series! I can only see Del on th entery list along with Keith and myself I guess Bunny maybe on holiday! G Quote
Terry Everall Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 Great day at 3 Sisters with 2 practice and 8 timed runs. John Hoyle blew away the class F record and Matt Turner and I did likewise with the class G record. At one time I was in FTD position.! In the end Matt just pipped me by 0.08secs and the battle all day was very very close Quote
