Jude - The Mad Widow Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Another wet day yesterday - so no trips out... I went to bed early feeling disgruntled... I fear that winter looms - typical depressive mind wandering. (Probably should have put this on the Mental Health Thread). Anyway - It dawned on me why you all do rebuilds etc on your cars during the winter... not only does it keep you informed of what's happening or might happen under the bonnet but most importantly (to me) it keeps you going through the winter when our little cars are generally off road. Of course in my musings I allowed my mind to wonder over the possibilities of stripping Binky down as soon as the weather is inclement. I feel sure this is possible, however... she would never get put back together again. A. I have no idea how to do it B. I have a short attention span C. I would get depressed at my lack of ability D. I would never be able to use her again. So, on reflection - I shall book a Euro ticket and head south in my motor home until I find blue skies; in the hopes of getting through a winter without depression, without sitting in my lounge staring into space for weeks on end. Yep, lucky me right? Being retired is enviable? Only if you use it well... My stream of consciousness is just Stuff and Nonsense . 🙋♀️ 5 Quote
CraigHew Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 It's only July. In a few weeks everyone will be muttering about the Indian Summer just around the corner.... 1 Quote

Jude - The Mad Widow Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Feeling more positive after a trip to the unexceptional festival at Claydon House. First time out with my brother and his newly completed 'Ferrari'. Like a couple of kids!! 4 Quote

Nic Chase (NICO) - Shropshire & Mid-Wales AO Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Hi Jude. Good to see you are back on the road again. Did I miss your repair thread? 😀 What was the fix in the end? See you at Silverstone. 1 Quote
Jude - The Mad Widow Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 I can't make it to Silverstone dammit. No dog sitter so my tickets are redundant. Not sure we got to the bottom of the car problem which is worrying but she had a new head gasket, new hoses and caps. Running much better so... Bit remiss of me not putting up a repair thread but he doesn't explain much... Possibly cos I'm an old lady an know nuffin! 🤔 Quote
