On Friday when I will be at Blyton with the Westie my better half and our friends are starting a weeks holiday in Flixton near Filey.. So on Saturday after the GF meal and a few beers I will be heading home to Kings Lynn to drop off the WF and trailer etc and then head back up more or less passed Blyton up to Flixton... Will have to be on form when I get there having missd the first day of the holiday!

I am trying to think of a way of avoiding the double trip - may see if I could leave the car on trailer in the barn at Blyton.. assuming it would be secure...  I have already suggested that I leave the car and trailer and drive the Westie up to Yorkshire and have that as the car for the week.... but that is not going down to well at home!!

Can any of you local to the Filey area suggest any good pubs around, dog friendly..or any foodie or boozy things we should do?!!  Also any particular not too demanding walks or sites that we should visit? I haven't had chance to look yet so thought i might get some local pointers!!

many thanks

I live in the next village.

No idea on pubs but for you and the dog,

Filey Brigg.

Hole of Horcum between Pickering and Whitby.

Danes Dyke near Flamborough.

Sewerby Hall.

Flamborough Head.

Peasholm Park and the open air theatre is a nice walk.

Maybeck just outside Ruswarp. Head towards Falling Foss waterfall. River for dog to paddle in and great food at the cafe at the waterfall.
