Dabbsy Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Four long years after my last foray to la belle France in Jud I'm at it again. Just in time for Saharan temperatures. I've got the factor 50, Camelback, numerous headgear options and a spare fan belt. Anything else essential for 40+ degrees (apart from a sense of humour)? Quote
Quinten Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 When are you setting off Chris? Would love to catch up before... Can't remember if you've got a toll badge, or if you're even going to be on the toll roads in the Westie, but that's been my single best thing I got for travelling there. Make sure you're carrying lots of fluids though, there would be nothing worse as being stuck on a road in the blazing sun without drink! Quote
stephenh Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I'm not sure that you will need that wellington boot! Have a good time. Maybe wise to take a bottle with some water/antifreeze mixture in it, in case in that heat you overheat the engine, and blow some coolant out? Quote
GuitarmanUK Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 I always carry an umbrella and it is not just for the rain!! Coming back from Switzerland last year, we got stuck on the M25 due to an accident and we were sat in the direct sun for ages. I didn't want to put the half hood on so put up my umbrella and had some instant shade. 2 Quote
Kevin (Mr T) Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 In Antibes at the moment, I don't envy you the drive. Cannes yesterday, crushingly hot, but it should make for some great photos! Quote
