Plymouth to Santander ferry

Once my wee beastie is finished we are thinking of taking it down to Spain for a week's blat in the sun.

Has anyone been over to Spain on the Brittany Ferries service to Santander?   If so, did you have any problems loading and unloading your Westfield?

I suppose i could just leave the missus behind - I'd have room for a few more stellas that way  :D

Brittany Ferries, P&O ferries, and the train hold no fear for even the lowest of sumps. Watch out for the truck tie downs on the floor of the ship though.......The ferry loaders are pretty good, IME, so pay attention to them, and point out that you have a low ground clearance. You can even clear the BIG lip at the top of the ramp at the upper deck without too much trouble, just approach it at a 45 degree angle......

Refuse their offer of loading it for you.......

Hi Blatters,

Thanks, full of wisdom as always (except when it comes to Zetecs of course)!

Just got to convince the missus she doesn't want to go in one of those noisy airliners now

Get some earplugs. She'll have a nice quiet trip, and if she doesn't, you'll not be able to hear her complaining anyway.........

Hi Neil,

Did this trip year before last in my Megablade (  90mm front ride height :0  ).... the loading chaps are very helpful but ask if you can go on the main loading deck (the one you initially drive on to), as you then don't have to drive up/down the internal ramps.

The down side is you'll probably be the last to load... but hey, the boat isn't going to leave with out you.

Have fun in the sun.

Thanks John

Good luck with the build.
