"Authorities working to clear Passo Gavia of snow ahead of cycling's Giro d'Italia queen stage next Tuesday 28 May.  60 per cent chance the roads can be cleared ahead of stage 16."

 

I enjoyed the following online fan comment    "I hope to see a snowy stage! I've only been a cycling fan for a few years and have yet to see snow in the races. Wind, rain, hail; I've seen those. And considering Roglic is a former ski jumper, he'll totally be in his element!"

 

Great stuff, and Roglic currently 2nd in race and favourite to win.
