Lockable Bootlid - How does it come?...

Recommended Posts

I am trying to find out whether the lockable bootlid comes in a two part kit, ie base and lid, or is it just the lid itself?

The base appears to cover the chassis mount points behind the seats and add an extra 1" in height, this is where the boot lid pivots and locks into.

I've looked on the Westfield site and there is only a pic of the lid itself, which is £405, which is steep, just for a lid. It also states for ZK bodywork only. Is this the bodywork for the SEiW?

I've tried searching forum and couldn't find any previous threads.

Any help/info, much appreciated.

I have attached two pics of my old car, as an example.

Im trying to work out if the complete lid is the top two fixtures (above the fasteners).

Cheers,

Yes, it comes as two pieces the lower frame that silicons and is screwed onto the tub, plus the actual lid, a set of hinges and a set of locks.

ZK bodywork is the traditional style bodywork used from the late nineties to the current date. Earlier bodywork, know as "kit" bodywork, looks very similar but has a large number of detail differences, including being slightly narrower towards the top of the scuttle/bonnet area

Dave - do you still have your lockable bootlid for sale?

No, sorry, long since gone - they don't normally hang around long.
