jabiqq Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 After nearly 3000 miles, bodywork on my Westfield doesn`t look great & I decided to try Full Dip. Currently waiting for delivery of a new boot box. Once it arrives & it`s fitted, I`ll be giving Full Dip (Spanish plasti-dip) a go. I`m planning to do a proper prep with removing any blemishes, filling, polishing etc. Going to use a gallon of primer grey base coat plus a gallon of Grabber Blue with metallic add-on and Super Gloss (top coat which is fuel/chemical resistant & can be polished). Before: Hoping to achieve something close to (colour & shine): Will post an update when ready or when in progress.. Quote
Greenstreak-Andy D Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Found this... https://www.matt-pack.co.uk/Mobile/MBCPPlayer.asp?ID=1915318 For my money I would think wrapping a better option, just due to popularity, there are more vinyl wrapping companies. Both are fuel resistant at best. Andy Quote
jabiqq Posted April 21, 2019 Author Posted April 21, 2019 For a DIY application, I think plastidip will be easier. The number of possible colour and effect combinations is quite amazing. Here's one: https://youtu.be/-SbBoMK-1bQ?t=406 Quote
