I saw him in your mirror at Barcroft and it looks like the car suddenly darted off the track? Mike Cutt never ceases to amaze me.. He (red BMW) pulled out of the race on the second lap when the clutch failed. At the end of the race I wandered back to the paddock and he already had the gearbox out and was playing about with clutch plates. Quote
cast iron Posted April 17, 2019 Author Posted April 17, 2019 The Red Seat TCR had steering rack failure, we were doing 110 into sunny in, no wonder it was wrecked. Paul Brydon used to change the clutch in his BMW every race weekend Quote

Andrew Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 A vid from the red Seat. He picked one of the worst places at Croft to have steering failure! Quote
cast iron Posted April 26, 2019 Author Posted April 26, 2019 I'm glad he didn't get alongside me! Quote

MrPid Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 I love the "Jazz Hands" just before impact.. Still, better than a pair of broken wrists I guess?... Quote
AdamR Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Christ. I think I'd have had a jazz bumhole to go with the jazz hands at that point. But yes, absolutely recommended to let go of the wheel in that situation (perhaps not so important with a broken rack ). 1 Quote
