Hi guys! New here, but ... have any of you had problems with the spout letting air into the jerry can, as in NOT letting air in so fuel can pour out?

Other jerry cans I’ve had in the past have an external tube that allows air in.

Frustrated.

Australia.

Depends what sort of spout you have. My Jerry came h as a short rubber tube. You have to make sure it slots in the right place when fitting the spout

If the black air tube doesn't go behind the metal plate in the can it doesn't work properly

Watched a good YT vid on the origin & development of the Jerry can the other day. I’ve known about the basic story a long time, but the detail & history was fascinating.
