Hi all

I have my B&E exam a week monday.  I have 2 x 4 hour lessons on Sat and Sunday before the exam Monday.  Any pointers or tips which might help for the exam?

thanks

Just stay calm and relaxed and remember when reversing left is right and right is left, and slow small corrections help, good luck

Would echo that, no need to stress over this test at all. Trickiest part will always be the reversing through the garage, but you've got plenty of time to pick reference points on the trailer to make that a doddle.

My Dad taught me with a caravan back in the day to hold the wheel at the bottom and steer the way you want it to go. I taught my ex this way with a horsebox and she could do it right. Practice is the key. The other day I had to reverse an 18 foot tri axle between my bosses Merc and new Bentley with him watching. No pressure.

Remember the if the trailer is turning too quickly and difficult to correct its best to stop pull forward a bit and start again

How did you go on?  Passed mine donkeys years ago and now as part of my job I assess new drivers. Best advice, smile, shake the examiners hand firmly and be confident.

Thanks Jonk179

I passed. Only just.

I had a brain fart moment on reversing but was able to fix that out just before it was too late.

For those who know Chelmsford, I was going up watchouse road, overtaking parked cars on the left and a driver pulled out without looking. They luckily stopped with an inch or less left..  very lucky.

4 minors in total and a good course.  I learned a lot doing it.

Thanks for all the advice
