B.RAD Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Hi All As my post-Westfield journey continues and I'm looking to tick more car owning life experience boxes, I have my 986.2 Porsche Boxster 2.7 up for sale. I bought this over Christmas from Porsche specialist Friends Green Porsche. I chose this car because it had one owner from new up to August 2018, with a regular 10k miles per year done to 155k, and a full Porsche dealer and Porsche specialist service history. The log book has every single stamp in the book and the car has wanted for nothing in its life. I have maintained this full service history with a service and MOT at Export56 in February. It passed its MOT with zero advisories and a clean recommendation from Export56, who said it's one of the best condition Boxsters they've seen. The car is tight as a drum, the interior is immaculate and it drives like a much newer car, with compliant and positive suspension. It really is a wonderful car. As a regularly used car that is in completely original condition, it has the expected stone chips to the front bumper, along with a couple of small scrapes/scratches around the car, but unusually no car park dings anywhere. There is also a small hole in the hood, it doesn't leak and causes no issue, so hasn't bothered me at all. A new hood isn't very expensive and if I were keeping it, I'd either get a hard top for it for over winter, or replace the hood in the longer term. It looks stunning from a few meters away but during wash and polish when you're up close you can see its loved and used life. That flat 6 behind your ears sounds amazing. It's the second version of the 986, so comes with the higher power engine and cleaner features such as the clear indicator lenses. It also has the rare and wonderful sports seats option with embossed Porsche logo in the headrest! The car is completely standard and benefits from being so. It has just had a service, new brake pads all round and a clean MOT. It's ready to enjoy the summer! Comparing the car to others for sale on eBay, Pistonheads etc., this is a £6k car. However, because of the mileage, the hood and the few small marks, I am looking for £4,500. This doesn't include the service and MOT costs I have just spent on it, but does help move on to my next car buying adventure I am based just south of Milton Keynes, come and have a look and get yourself into a Porsche for summer! 3
