Phssthpok Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 ....this is a real question so, I'd love an answer before the p***-takers wade in. I'm off to America very soon and I'll be needing to recharge my Camcorder battery. Now, can anyone (preferably from personal experience) recommend me a reliable voltage/plug adapter for my charger? Phssthpok Posted December 18, 2003 Author Posted December 18, 2003 ....yes, I know it's not Westfield related so I promise faithfully to film any Westfields I chance upon during my sojourn Quote
nlash Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Have you tried a search for a "travel charger" for your particular model of camcorder... I have one for mine (Canon) which takes 110v as well as 240v... then all you need is a two pin travel adapter for the plug Quote
Stuart Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 Chances are that the charger will work just as well at 110v as at 220v. Should say so on it - if so you just need the plug adapter. Quote
Phssthpok Posted December 18, 2003 Author Posted December 18, 2003 ...thanks chaps; checked out my charger and, you've guessed it, takes both 110v and 240v. All I need to now to is get a plug adapter from Sainsburys Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Can we wade in now with the p*** takin'? All I was going to say was check your own charger as most do 11o/240v doh When do go and where are you going? Buzz Quote
Phssthpok Posted December 19, 2003 Author Posted December 19, 2003 When do go and where are you going? .....flying out to the good ol' U S of A on the 25th of December - so I'll be getting 5 hours extra drinking time, a chance to wear the shorts Aunt Mavis gave me and two goes at the Christmas tucker. ......and if anyone has Discovery Channel they can see me, Bert Jones and Thor, on Thunder Races trying to build a 16 wheeled racer with an 8 wheel steering system - Monday the 22nd of December 8pm. I'm the captain of the Blue Team and yes, we really did have to learn how to Mig weld in less than 20 minutes. Quote
7SE Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 8 steering wheels Didn't that lead to a lot of arguments ?? Quote
Blatman Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Only if the other 7 were to be used by women........ Taxi............ Quote
