New member looking to buy

Hello everyone,

Reading past posts etc all seem a good bunch. After years of dreaming of owning a Westfield the time has come to make the move. I have a little more time on my hands, some spare cash and most importantly a nice dry and secure garage. I am looking for a widebody model preferably, nothing too mad (my budget won't allow) just a nice tidy example something to get me on the first rung of the Westy ladder. My budget is up to 7k does anyone out there have one that needs a new home?

Welcome Clive. You are in the right place to find loved cars. You have made the right decision to join the club first and ask for help than wade in with both feet and buy with your heart. Money seems sensible to buy a car and they do come up in the classifieds. Depending on how spanner friendly you are , then buying a car from dealers can also be a reasonable way of getting one , but you will obviously pay a premium. Money ready to go is always good as decent cars wont hang around for long too.

Good luck with your search and hopefully now the sun is shining you will get a car to enjoy :t-up:

Welcome mate. As above, you cannot go wrong with this club and forum, and if you do buy off here, you will likely pick up a goodun...

The other thing IMHO is the members on here often tend to undervalue their cars compared with piston heads for example.

Regards,

Martin.

Get to your local met soonest and have a mooch around your fellow members cars, this will help you decide what you want and the kind of power/style/quality you can expect from your budget.

Head over heart of course and you will always find help from fellow members.

Stoneleigh is not that far away being on the first bank holiday weekend in May - plenty to see there and no doubt a few for sale signs too ;)

:ww: from sunny Somerset. Good first step in joining the club. Would highly recommend going along to your local area meet, assuming there is one handy in your neck of the woods. Best of luck with your search.
