Replacing rear arches

Hi all

When replacing rear arches is it better to run a bead of silicon or leave it dry ?

I did put black silicon on mine, but then the car colour is black. There was a wobble gap on mine , which the silicon has hidden. Others wont do it, so its a decision for you to decide.

I replaced my kit rear arches with ZK and you can see daylight through the gap but I wouldn't glue up the gap incase I ever want to take them off again.

I bolted mine on as usual but then to make them look smarter (in my opinion) I squeezed black silicon rubber into the remaining small gap from the gel coat side. Gap probably no more than about 1 mm wide at its biggest. I applied masking tape first, up against both edges of the gap. After pressing the silicone down into the gap with a wet finger this meant that I didn't leave any on the gel coat surface after removing the tape. Body colour electric blue. The silicone stops dirt getting trapped in the gap but there isn't enough of it to make removing the arches a bind.
