Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 I had it mind that the switch gear on the dash had been that very early version of touch sensitive buttons, (though that's not what's in the photo earlier in the thread ). Those were the sort of buttons that were blisteringly sensitive to the slightest contact if you just brushed against them, yet if you were actually trying to press one, you could end up mashing the tip of your finger half way through the PCs behind the button! Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Yep, here we go... And then presumably, even AM gave up on trying to make them work! Looks that only a (tipsy) mother could love aside, half the problem, apart from AM build quality at the he time, seemed to be that the controls and things were just beyond what the technology of the day could actually make work, in the harsh environment of a car. Wood trim aside, looking back at the photos, it's also remarkably plasticky inside. 1 Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 That dash would not look out of place on an Allegro! Or one of these. Quote

Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 It was all on one of the 'new' Freeview channells about ten years ago. About the time of Xena Warrior Princess and Hecules with Kevin Sorbo. Great stuff. Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted December 25, 2018 Author Posted December 25, 2018 UFO is still on the TV. There was a couple of episodes on the other night. One of the best shows when I was a kid and still very entertaining. Quote
