Rob the Red Top Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 I have a SE Narrow body that is allegedly a lightweight race chassis, but it was first registered in 1983 which is strange and probably misleading. How do I find out what I have and is it possible to do it from the chassis number on the V5? Thanks Rob Quote

stephenh Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 It should be possible to tell the age of the chassis from the chassis number, but I can't remember the formula. Someone will be along soon with the answer, I suspect, or you could ask the factory to confirm the chassis age, from the number. 1 Quote
wizzer Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 If you look behind the radiator on the bottom chassis rail there's a little tag looks like this might help. Quote
Captain Colonial Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 If you give us the general format of the chassis number, it would help. For instance, a standard late 1988 chassis would be 88WSE999 if it was the 999th made that year. Quote
