David G Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 (edited) I have my 24yr old 2.1 pinto that I’m open to offers on £7k spent 5yrs ago on the enigine rebuild/swap which took it from the standard 90+bhp to 150bhp, I’ts running 144bhp today and has covered 5k miles since the rebuild Mechanical info... Vulcan engineering build 2.1 pinto mk2 escort engine 150bhp Weight 590kgs Kent FR32 fast road cam Twin Dellorto 40’s Ford EDIS ignition module replacing dizzy Megajolt ignition control & new leads refurbished Alternator July 2018 Winged sump Chrome Burton Power rocker Polybushed engine mounts Ford Type 9 5 speed box Quaife ATB diff fitted 2018 live axle (unless your in competition or doing 15k miles a year I can’t see why this vs a IRS would make a noticeable difference) New adjustable suspenion all round this year and set up Ford M16 callipers & Mintex 144 pads an impressive full book of detail and receipts from build available to go through i am not a mechanic, I’ve not tracked the car but have given the snowdonia roads a good bit of sideways action, I have done around 3000 miles in my ownership mostly to Barmouth and back and therefore had it serviced and tuned by a recomemded pinto specialist in July so it sings as it should and never misses a beat. It’s up for consideration/sale as i just won’t take it out in the rain or wet as it’s never been in these conditions. I would consider a px or swap I love this car, as do the kids, I know I should tuck it away for the summer days but I want a toy that I can use all year round rain or shine with at least 2 more passengers So, if you want a great car, powerful engine that’s been well looked after, has no issues, needs nothing and has had the money spent on it already to make it reliable then get in touch Bodywork: few stone chips to rear arches, couple of light barely noticeable grazes on rear arches from the garage parking. Bonnet had a vent at some point that was filled but not noticeable until it’s off. Bonnet has been repaired as it has seen a low speed slide down the road the day I bought it hence it’s now black. Wouldn’t have been easy matching old paint but it works with black front arches. I have had the paint stored If you wanted to match the nose. hood not tight in the pics as the additional support bars aren’t in and these pics are just so you can see it on Nothing to hide with the car, I improve cars in my ownership. There is a local specialist service place we can book it in to for an inspection if someone wanted further peace of mind and if anything was found requiring attention I would have done for the sale. located Chester 07776215879 Dave Edited January 20, 2019 by David G Now sold
