Fitted the R1 carbs to the Pinto so I’ve now got 3D mapping available on the MegaJolt any recommendations for a rolling road in South East or will stick it on the trailer if necessary

I'm by no means an expert but I've been told by quite a few people to go to Northampton MotorSport.. In fact I'm booked in second week in October.

Janspeed in Bexleyheath are Fast Ford specialist in fact they developed a good deal of the original RS2000 race and rally cars.. in fact they still compete with their own RS2000

Sanspeed are very good, also been to track and road. I know they have done development  work with cateringvans and Troy at NMS told me they are the only other RR he would recommend, but they really are miserable. And of course Northampton Motor Sport.

Hello, Northampton Motor Sport - the very best around IMO.

Finally got the car in at Atspeed racing in Rayleigh, very friendly happy to talk and let me see what they were doing

Had the R1 carbs set uP and rolling roaded today 129.8 Bhp at the wheels 126 lbfs of torque, not bad for a great lump of iron

Didn't they keep referring to your ignition system as "Megash*t"?

Must just be me they don't like!

Yes they aren’t fans of them, but they did say yours was particularly Sh*t

They also don’t like   Webcon alpha or Nodiz ecu’s as well.   One of the few good carb tuners in the South.

I like people that tell it like it is especially when they know what they are talking about, I accept the MJ is a budget ignition system but it does what I want the Westy now starts idles and rubs spot on.

i asked about fitting a vernier pulley I’ve got but they said save my money It might improve it a bit but I could spend £300 on Dino time and adjusting  and get little or no return

Even less gain with a single camshaft engine, so yeah don’t bother.

Cheaper gains can be had by throwing out excess weight.
