Kevin (Mr T) Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Need an oil seal for my Sigma engine, a part which has been "deleted" by Ford. A very helpful guy on the Spares desk at my local showroom did a Europe wide search for me. That threw up a Spanish dealer showing one in his stores. Armed with the email address I soon sent a simple message explaining what I was after and that I understood he may have one. I soon received the following reply: "NO VENDEMOS PIEZAS AL EXTRANJERO , SALUDOS ." Bring on Google translate and this is what came up: "WE DO NOT SELL PARTS TO THE FOREIGNER, GREETINGS" I guess that told me 2 Quote

They also gave me an engineering number 97MF-6K620-BA. A local bearing company have said they will try to match it, if I bring the old one in. Just need to wait for my oil seal puller to be delivered. It's a radial oil seal. Quote
jeff oakley Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 When I am back at work on Wednesday I will see what cross references I have that might help. The seal will have been made by a handful of companies like Payen or Corteco so as gasket sets are available still I would have thought the seal will be. What is the seal you are looking for and any engine details might help. Jeff Quote
