Exeter Kit Car Show

It seems to vary with the weather, saturday is usually quiet probably 10-15 Westfields  Sunday more but there always seem lots of Westfield owners or potential owners there from the amount I talk to but many leave their cars at home. This is the nearest show for lots from the West Country and Dorset, so always get lots of potential builders who want to talk about the cars, so if it is warmish and sunny it is a nice atmosphere, but if it is raining the turnout of people is not really affected but the number of cars is. It is certainly better than Stafford.

It wouldn't be difficult for it to be better than Stafford lol.

It is a long way for me to go, so I'm not sure I shall attend.

I will be there all weekend my car is going on the factory stand so all those keen buyers please form an orderly que no pushing of shoving please.

Barry :p

As Scott has said.....

I was at Exeter last year and the general public seemed to have little respect for cars on display. I commented at the time that if my car had been on display, I'd have been less than chuffed when I got it back. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT the fault of the chaps and chapesses who staff the Westfield stand, just the behaviour and general lack of respect shown by Joe Public and his sticky fingered, snot nosed kids. Keep them out of the car unless they are *serious* purchasers....

I am planning on being there to keep my eye on things thanks for the tip!

I think it's free entry if you turn up in a kit car as well... seemed to be lots of Robin Hoods last year :suspect:

Went to my first kit show at Exeter with my red beast in foul weather making it akin to driving a fast caulinder (?spelling).  Little surprised to see few other westies outside (?4) but bumped into MartT at a stall so didn't feel all alone.  Fair few C*******s and cheaper rubbish with reasonable spread of stands.  Surprised that Seight outside didn't attract much interest at £14k as it was 120 miles old, new build and seemed well finished.  Also keen to sell asap as lost job but weather won't have helped.  Have his number on the back of a fag packet if anyone is interested.  Admit need to get more active with WSCC (no I haven't joined yet) but seem to be in a void between Bristol/Bath and Devon/Cornwall clubs.  Any activity in the Taunton region?  Hear Greyhound at Staple Fitzpaine has a seven's meeting on the first Thursday of the month (?accurate).  Hope to see more of you out and about, mort

Mort

true to your word you've signed in :D

I'm sure someone will tell you about local stuff, but it may be worth raising in the Events area or main Forum.

Did you buy any goodies? Highlevel brake light and side repeaters were my latest purchase. :p

Download that membership form and send in your cheque. The magazine is worth the money alone (particularly the new A4 format). :)

Cheers

Martin
