Wrap or Re spray or new body?

My car history of being a sprint car is rather evident.

I’m looking to have it re done.

Which ways have you guys used to rejuvenate the body work on your cars and what was the cost?

I had mine wrapped by a 3M quaified fitter in 3M 1080 vinyl 3 years ago at a cost of £650(this was a foreigner cash job done at my house though ;) )

If you have cracks or damage to the gelcoat though these would need repairing before the wrap.

First pic is of it freshly wrapped, second pic is now after three summers use and 10k miles.

It's showing signs of use, stone chips etc but overall I'm well happy with how it's wearing .

I went for a matte finish to hide the finish of the fibreglass panels :)

Eventually went with paint on ours, although did consider a re-body at one stage. Took the opportunity to do some re-shaping round the rear lights and swapping to a V8 bonnet too. Probably mid-way between a wrap and a complete new body in terms of cost.

The car had already been sprayed in the distant past due to accident damage - someone backed into it while it was parked and damaged a rear wheeler. A total re-spray was the cheap fix as Westfield quoted the insurers for a full re-body.
